‘Tis the season...for best of lists, squeezing in all those books you meant to read all year, and curling up in a cozy spot with your current book. I am dreading making my 2020 best of list (I read so many great books this year, it will be impossible to choose) but I am so excited for 2021- I plan to structure my reading a bit more, and cannot wait to share my plans with you all. And now onto…
…What I’ve read so far this month:
The Last Story of Mina Lee: I was really excited for this one but didn’t end up loving it. The story was really interesting but took a few too many turns for me. Overall it was still an interesting and quick read. 3.5 stars
The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives: This book was a creative and eye-opening account of a polygamous family in Nigeria. Each chapter is from the perspective of one of the wives which really added depth to the book and characters. 4 stars
In a Holidaze: This is the book club pick for this month so no details yet! Looking forward to the discussion on the 28th :)
Next Up:
I have this and this out from the library and plan to read them this week. Currently on my night stand are this book and this one!

This week my page hit 20,000 followers. I am still in a state of shock but I am so grateful to have such a community by my side, especially in 2020. Thank you all for reading and sticking with bookish and black.
